The Beginning of Halloween

Yes, I'm sure everybody knows that Halloween is my favorite time of year.

Besides the fact that October also hosts my birthday - Halloween gives me more of an excuse than I usually need to watch horror films.

This year, I'm going back to MY roots with Horror.

THE EXORCIST

The Classic case of young Reagan McNeill (Linda Blair) becoming possessed by a Demon in suburban Washington completly blew me away, and scared my socks off when I was younger - so much so, that now - probably about 17 years later, I'm still freaked out by it.

Forget all the bullshit about people dying on set, mysterious fires and all that, this film touched on something that was a deep underlying fear amongst most people, the divil himself was such a taboo subject in Ireland back then that the film was totally banned - and I think I saw the dodgiest copy of it at first - which only added to the terror I felt watching it.

Look it up, Check it out, Tá sé ann.

I saw the Exorcist too when I was relatively young. It gave me acute heebie jeebies. An excellent film, but what really made it for me was thet it scared the living shit out of my brother which was a joy to witness.
